Head Coach Jenilee VossJenilee Voss  |  Head Coach

Former Michigan State University standout and 2020 AVCA Thirty Under 30 award winner Jenilee Voss is in her sixth season as head women's volleyball coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

The Warriors have posted five straight winning seasons in conference play since Voss' arrival, a feat last achieved from 1989-1993. Voss has coached eight different players to a total of 13 all-conference honors and her teams have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award each season.

Voss guided WLC to NACC Tournament appearances in each of her first four seasons as head coach, including a North Division tournament championship two seasons ago after WLC finished 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the NACC.

Voss, the 10th head coach in program history, joined the Warriors after spending three-and-a-half years with the Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy (MEVBA), the nation's largest youth volleyball club. She served as webmaster, travel director, business director, and coach of three different club teams while with MEVBA. Voss has also held head coaching positions with River City Volleyball Club and Legacy Volleyball Club.

For four seasons (2012-2015), Voss was an assistant varsity volleyball coach at Notre Dame Preparatory High School in Pontiac, Michigan. She helped lead the Fighting Irish to a state championship, state runner-up, regional championship, district championship, and conference championship during her stint at NDP.

Voss completed an exceptional playing career at Michigan State University in 2012, when she received a master of science in sports administration after earning a bachelor's degree in marketing from MSU in 2010.

She was the recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor her senior year, while also earning AVCA Third Team All-America and CoSIDA Second Team All-America accolades. Voss was also a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. A two-time unanimous First Team All-Big Ten selection, Voss finished her Spartans' career as the all-time leader in sets (496) and matches played (142) and was seventh all-time at MSU in block assists (334) and eighth in kills (1,505). She was also named a three-time Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner and Distinguished Scholar and two-time team MVP and team captain.

A three-sport standout at Mount Pleasant High School, Voss garnered First Team All-State and First Team All-Saginaw Valley League honors in volleyball. She also earned the league's MVP award during her junior and senior seasons. In addition, Voss was a two-time First Team All-League selection and team MVP in basketball and a member of the Oilers' 800m relay state champion and 1600m relay state runner-up track & field teams.

A native of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Voss and her husband, Aaron, who serves as pastor at Living Water Lutheran Church in Wind Lake, live in Muskego with their daughter, Adelyn, and son, Jason.

 

Samie RileySamie Riley  |  Assistant Coach

Samie Riley is in her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team.

Riley has served for the last 10th seasons as a coach for Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club and was formerly an assistant coach for the Sussex Hamilton varsity volleyball team.

Riley graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a degree in sport management. She attended Arrowhead High School where she played volleyball for four seasons.

Riley is the housing coordinator for the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) and currently resides in Hartland.

 

Stephanie SchulzStephanie Schulz  |  Assistant Coach

Stephanie Schulz is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s volleyball team.

Schulz returned to her alma mater after serving for four seasons as a varsity assistant coach at Racine Lutheran High School. She previously coached the Crusaders’ junior varsity volleyball team from 2013-2016 and recently began coaching the high jumpers on the track & field team.

Schulz played volleyball for four seasons (2009-2012) at Wisconsin Lutheran, earning NACC Honorable Mention recognition her senior year. The four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete played multiple positions throughout her career for the Warriors. Schulz played in 123 career matches, totaling 1,083 assists, 548 digs, 375 kills, 132 blocks, and 38 service aces. Her 992 assists recorded in 2012 ranks fourth in program history. Schulz graduated in 2012 with degrees in both Spanish and English.

The Sheboygan native attended Lutheran High School where she lettered in basketball, track & field, and volleyball. Schulz was a two-time First Team All-Central Lakeshore Conference and First Team All-County selection in volleyball. She was a member of the Crusaders’ conference championship team which posted a 39-1 record her senior year. She graduated as the career record holder for kills (746) and blocks (167).

Schulz, who teaches Spanish at Racine Lutheran High School, resides in Franklin with her husband, Doug, and son, Mason.
